There are many ways to acclimate, but I find the best way that works for me is the drip method.
1) Float the unopened bags in the tank for 20 min.
2) Open the bags and put the fish and shipping water in a clean 5 Gal bucket or other clean container.
3) Use a piece of airline tubbing to start a steady drip of water from the tank they will be placed in.
4) Once the water is double in volume, drain the water to just above the top fin of the fish and repeat the process.
5) When full again, pour fish into a clean net and put into the tank.
This whole process should take around an hour.
